City Centre malls to debut VOX Cinemas with 17 new screens in Muscat

City Centre malls to open VOX Cinemas by early June; a new Magic Planet attraction to open in City Centre Qurum by mid-July

The first time appearance of VOX Cinemas in the Sultanate is part of Majid Al Futtaim’s major redevelopment investment of OMR11.3 million to revamp City Centre malls, the leading shopping and lifestyle destinations in Oman, with a focus on adding brand new family entertainment in the malls. By early June, City Centre Muscat will open a 10-screen VOX Cinemas and by late June, City Centre Qurum will unveil a 7-screen VOX Cinemas. In mid-July, families can also experience a new Magic Planet attraction at City Centre Qurum.

With a total of 17 screens, including Standard, VOX MAX and VOX 3D options, VOX Cinemas at City Centre malls in Muscat and Qurum will offer more screens, more movie sessions, and ultimately, more movies to choose from than any other cinema in Oman. Moreover, for those looking for added VIP treatment, VOX Cinemas will also offer movie-goers with more spacious VIP seats and a gourmet-style menu which features crepes, fresh juices, salads, sandwiches, French fries, coffees, muffins and gourmet popcorn to complement the traditional cinema fare.   

In addition to launching a new cinema, City Centre Qurum will also unveil a new 473 sq. ft. Magic Planet, bringing a rewarding adventure to families in the immediate community. Featuring soft play areas for younger children, exciting rides and redemptions games, Magic Planet will complement the cinema offer, offering a complete lifestyle experience for guests. Earlier this year, City Centre Muscat re-opened its newly enhanced and expanded Magic Planet attraction which features new dynamic games, rides and play options for the entire family.
