Al Tayer Motors caps successful year for Jaguar Land Rover with ‘Dealer of the Year 2013-14' Combined Sales for British brands up 52% in 2013-14 over 2012-13

Dubai, May 17, 2014 - Al Tayer Motors, one of the UAE’s premier automobile dealerships, has capped a successful 2013-14 for Jaguar Land Rover by winning the prestigious ‘Dealer of the Year’ award for Middle East North Africa and  Pakistan (MENAP) region for the third consecutive year and the seventh time overall. The dealership was also recognised for Customer Service Excellence picking up top honours for both brands.

Al Tayer Motors recorded 52% growth in Jaguar Land Rover sales for the fiscal year 2013-14 compared to 2012-13 on the back of strong sales for both brands. 

Individually Land Rover sales were up more than 56% and Jaguar sales were up 29% for the same year with the best-ever sales performance for both brands being reported in April 2014.

Notable successes for Land Rover vehicles include a doubling of sales for the Range Rover with increased deliveries of the vehicle and a 25% increase in Range Rover Sport sales with the introduction of the all new model during the third quarter. The Range Rover Evoque continued its successful growth at 10%, taking the overall sales for the Range Rover family up to 68% in 2013-14 vs. the previous year.

Jaguar sales were boosted by a 60% increase in sales of the XJ and a five per cent rise for the XF, as well as deliveries of the Jaguar F-TYPE convertible. 

Al Tayer Motors won the prestigious ‘Dealer of the Year’ award at a ceremony held at the Armani Hotel in Dubai, where Jaguar Land Rover recognised its MENAP dealers on successes achieved in 2013-14. The dealership is ranked number one in the MENAP region by sales volume.

The best overall Dealer of the Year trophy is awarded to the dealership that delivers outstanding performance across all areas of the business in the MENAP region.
