Excitement Builds for the Annual Al Noor Samsung Hope for Children Family Fun Fair

The fun-filled community event to take place on Febraury 28th

Dubai, UAE (February 16, 2014) – On February 28th, more than 5,000 people are expected to flock to the 2014 Al Noor-Samsung Hope For Children Family Fun Fair taking place between 10.00am and 10.00pm at the Al Noor premises, Al Barsha, behind Mall of the Emirates. This year’s Fun Fair builds on the success of the 2013 event that saw more that 600,000 dirhams raised for the Al Noor Training Center thanks to the enthusiastic participation of thousands of visitors.

“This is one of our major fundraisers, to meet the operational costs. It is an opportunity for lots of people to support us, by just attending and enjoying all the fun” said Isphana Al Khatib, Director of the Centre.

“Through the Samsung Hope for Children program, we have the opportunity to continue our commitment in making an effective difference to the community,” said Mr. Young Soo Kim, President of Samsung Gulf Electronics. “By partnering with Al Noor to host the Al Noor-Samsung Hope for Children Family Fun Fair, we are able to raise awareness and funds for the Center to better serve the children with special needs, empowering them to live, learn and thrive.”

Fair goers will enjoy a huge range of attractions including live food stations sponsored by Dutco Group, Samsung raffle prizes, rides, games, face painting, bouncy castle, an arts and crafts bazaar and a range of other recreational activities. This year will also see the addition of the Zumba classes for sports enthusiasts which will be on from 10.00am to 1.00pm.

Another popular attraction on the day will be the Al Noor – Bank of Sharjah CSR Football Tournament managed by Ahdaaf Sports Club, where sports fans will have the opportunity to watch the matches between teams from various companies in the UAE while it’s taking place. The football tournament is organised to provide an opportunity to the corporate sector to support the Al Noor cause, where a minimum of 12 teams and 150 players will be taking part. The title sponsor for the Football Tournament is Bank of Sharjah, with support sponsor Mediclinic.
