UAE, Dubai, February 4th 2014 – Kinder Chocolate, the beloved chocolate confectionery brand, has officially launched the world's first “Kinder Chocolate Factory” for children at KidZania®, at The Dubai Mall. To celebrate the opening, a special event took place in the award-winning edutainment centre, where children and adults were invited to experience the newly launched role.
The Kinder Chocolate Factory, in the children's mini-city, will simulate the chocolate production line and is designed to provide children aged 4 to 16 with the exciting opportunity to learn about each step of the Kinder Chocolate making process, from ingredients to manufacturing.
For more than 40 years, Kinder Chocolate has been present around the world and in the Middle East from the early 1990s, with the aim of providing parents and children with a variety of quality, creative chocolate products. Kinder is a firm believer that happiness and joy are key elements to a child's growth. The “Kinder Chocolate Factory” at KidZania® aims at making learning fun for children, tying into the company's philosophy that a happy child today will be a better adult tomorrow.
Commenting on the new launch of the “Kinder Chocolate Factory” attraction, Mr. Giovanni Martini, VP Marketing for Ferrero Middle East said: “For over 40 years, Ferrero's Kinder products have been contributing to the happy growth of children of all ages. With Dubai's role as a regional hub for family tourism and the popularity of our products here in the region, what better place than KidZania® at The Dubai Mall to launch our very first children's “chocolate factory” attraction.
He continued: “The opening of the factory simulation marks a key milestone in the expansion of the Kinder Chocolate brand in the region, which we hope will continue to bring daily moments of joy for children and their families.”
Mr. Francois Yves Pain, General Manager and Governor KidZania® Dubai, said: “KidZania® promotes the physical and intellectual growth of children through professional role-play, and features an assortment of establishments covering the entire fabric of the economy. We continuously seek new partners to enrich the learning experiences awaiting our young visitors.
We are delighted to welcome Kinder into KidZania®'s family of world-renowned brands. The addition highlights how the edutainment centre has emerged as a preferred marketing partner for leading business entities, suiting their community- and market outreach goals. We hope the little ones enjoy the experience and gain insights that will not only be entertaining but also educational.”
Groups of six children at a time will be able to experience the simulation of chocolate production for the duration of 20 minutes. In addition to going through the chocolate production process, children will also manipulate machines and ingredients. At the end of every session, each child receives a Kinder chocolate bar as if it were made with their own hands.
Kinder Chocolate has recently launched the Middle East version of its website in Arabic, English and French. It has been created with the insertion of a parental consent mechanism, which ensures a layer of protection for both kids and parents; nonetheless allowing them to enjoy a range of fun activities together, like a play section and exciting interactive games. The website also offers additional information on Kinder such as the history of the brand.
