The park also accompanied over 95,000 visitors on Friday 31st, January, which was the last weekend of DSF.
The annual Dubai Shopping Festival sees the UAE's tourist hub turn into a major retail outlet, with great shopping deals being found all over Dubai and everybody having a chance to win fantastic prizes, ranging from cars to cash giveaways with Global Village being one of the most popular annual attractions.
The Dubai Shopping Festival Parade – which was made up of 700 performers, making it the biggest parade of its kind in the Middle East - made its way to Global Village to allow visitors to revel in the festival's magnificent atmosphere. This made for a unique experience for the visitors and tourists alike who come to Global Village to have a special time with family and friends.
Ahmad Hussein, Director of Operations at Global Village, has said “We are extremely pleased with the excellent number of visitors we received during the Dubai Shopping Festival and thoroughly enjoyed their time. The sheer range and number of unique entertainment and cultural shows made Global Village more attractive than ever during DSF. The festival itself is a great opportunity for the public and private sector to work together, and brings together a unique experience between shopping and entertainment.”
Visitors to Global Village experienced the wonderful DSF Parade as well as great entertainment from American street performer, Todd Various, Kerala Drummers who performed alongside two life-sized model elephants and featured the India's Got Talent show.
Global Village this year once again became one of the places to be during the Festival with the park hosting the Dubai Shopping Festival Raffle Draw. The daily raffle saw lucky winners walk away with two brand new cars – the Infiniti QX60 and G25 – as well as a cash prize of AED100,000.
Global Village is now gearing up to maintain the momentum in February that was created by the great atmosphere the Dubai Shopping Festival created during January. During the month of February Global Village has introduced special promotional packages targeted towards families. Free entry for children below the age of 12 every Monday and 10 AED discount of food for every 60 AED spent at its most popular restaurants.
The month of February will see a very exciting mix of cultural and modern entertainment offerings to visitors. Visitors will also be amazed by the high flying All Star Dunkers, as well as the rhythmic Argentinian Gauchos performance on the World Culture Stage.
