Third round of Losail MX Championship

The third round of Losail MX Championship will take place this Friday 25th October at the Losail Motocross Track. There are two different motorbike categories competing in this championship: MX1 (from 175CC to 250CC 2-stroke and from 290cc to 450cc 4-stroke) and MX2 (from 100cc to 125cc 2-stroke and from 175cc to 250cc 4-stroke).
The first round took place in mid February and the second round was the support race of the FIM MX1/MX2 Motocross World Championship on 1st-2nd March.
After the two rounds, the leader of the MX1 is the American rider Dennis Stapleton, who has won all the races and has 100 points. The second and third positions are for the Kuwaiti riders, Moaath Al Ansari and Mishary Abou Shaibah, with 77 and 74 points respectively.
Regarding the MX2 category, Hassan Ahmed from Bahrain is leading with 85 points. The second place is for Abdullah Al Shatti from Kuwait with only 3 points difference, 82 points. The third place is for Barak Al Jasmi also from Kuwait with 75 points.
The Losail MX track is located next to the Losail International Circuit and the event is open to all the public.
Tomorrow Thursday, there will be the registration for the riders at QMMF offices at Salwa road from 14:00 to 18:00.
Administation and Scrutineering will be on Friday at the Losail MX track from 7:30 to 9:00. The track activity will start at 9:55 with a Free practice of 25 minutes followed by the Qualifying practice at 10:45. After a break, the races will follow, Race 1 at 12:30 and Race 2 at 14:00. In all the sessions, both categories will ride at the same time.
