Beach Rotana supports Make A Wish Foundation and the Little Wings Foundation at annual charity event
Abu Dhabi, 29 September, 2013 – Beach Rotana Abu Dhabi is set to make a difference this October with Make A Difference Day. The massively successful event, which raised over AED 215,000 in funds for three charity projects last year, will be held for the 13th time since its inception in 2001.
The afternoon event, which is set to take place on 24 October 2013, will be centred around a fairytale theme. Kids will enjoy a wide variety of activities from dancing in Prince Charming's bouncy castle and playing other entertaining carnival games.
The most popular activity of the afternoon is set to be Captain Hook's Dunking Pool, where four top executives of the Beach Rotana will “walk the plank” and get dunked in a two-metre wide pool all in the name of fun and charity.
The aim of this event is to raise funds to support two non-profit organizations - Make A Wish Foundation, which grants the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions, and the Little Wings Foundation, which provides medical assistance to children with bone and muscle deformities.
Tickets to the event are on sale at the moment at a mere 30 Dirhams per ticket and all proceeds from the event will go directly to the appointed charities. “30 Dirhams means so little to us but so much to the kids who are part of the programmes that we support through this event. Any help we can get will go a long way indeed”, says Jasmine Arika, Director of Marketing and Communications for the Beach Rotana.
She adds that last year's event saw the hotel raise the most funds it had ever raised for Make A Difference Day in 13 years and the team will keep its fingers crossed for a similar outcome this year.
Donations for the event are also accepted and interested donors can contact the hotel's Marketing team on +971 (0)2 697 9076 or at marketing.beach@rotana.com.
