City Centre offer prizes totalling AED 50,000 worth of school fees with its Back to School campaign

Deira City Centre & Mirdif City Centre extend summer festivities with a special Back to School Guide plus kid's activities
Dubai, UAE, 21 August 2013 – As the countdown begins towards the study season, Deira City Centre and Mirdif City Centre are putting a fun twist on ‘Back to School' by hosting a month of live entertainment for kids, while offering valuable savings and chances to win up to AED 50,000 for parents. summer still in full swing, the City Centre malls have joined hands to keep the festivities going with the Ben 10 live stage show and Min Biladi Al Emarat, showcasing the UAE's heritage, keeping shoppers entertained as they scoop up the best Back to School specials.
“City Centre malls are celebrating the Back to School season with added festivity this year, creating excitement for kids and parents during the last few weeks of summer,” said Hussain Moosa, Associate Director for Mirdif City Centre. “Essential shopping is made easier with the City Centre Back to School Guide which offers value-added savings, and families can still enjoy weeks of summer fun with our live-stage shows and roaming entertainment.”
Shoppers have all their need with the City Centre Back to School Guide, an all-in-one resource listing key retailers and savings at more than 45 stores from clothing eyewear, shoes, electronics and dining outlets such as American Eagle Outfitters, Chili's, Early Learning Centre, Al Jabel Optical and Shoe Mart offering discounts of up to 75% or complimentary gifts upon purchase. The Guide, which is available at Customer Service counters at Deira City Centre and Mirdif City Centre, also contains some fun word games and puzzles for the kids. What's more from now until September 15th, those that spend a minimum of AED 300 at either mall will have the chance to win back up to AED 50,000 in Gift Card prizes, equivalent to a year's worth of school fees!
In partnership with the Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment, Deira City Centre and Mirdif City Centre will be packed with entertainment especially for the kids. From August 22nd-28th, Mirdif City Centre will be hosting Min Biladi Al Emarat, activities showcasing the rich heritage of the UAE. All activities will take place in the Central Galleria from 5:00pm – 10:00pm and will feature traditional Emirati dance and music, henna painting, heritage quizzes, hospitality tents offering coffee, tea and dates and other cultural performances.
Mirdif City Centre will also host the popular Cartoon Network show, Ben 10 in a live-action stage show where Ben returns to fight evil aliens using his Omnitrix device, which allows him to turn into 10 different alien species. All shows will be hosted in the Central Galleria from August 22nd-28th at 4:30pm, 6:00pm and 7:45pm.
In addition, both Deira City Centre and Mirdif City Centre will come alive with a variety of colourful stage shows and roaming acts:
August 22nd-24th
• Royal Snails – bearing colourful robes and matching hats, these roaming snails will meet and greet guests
o Deira City Centre: 5:00pm, 6:30pm and 8:00pm
• Candy Land – Candy man and his whimsical, sweet friends will put on roaming shows throughout the mall
o Mirdif City Centre: 5:00pm, 6:30pm and 8:00pm
September 5th-7th
• Sweet Treats – dance performers dressed up in candy that jump, twirl and dazzle. This spectacle will give kids a sugar high
o Mirdif City Centre: 5:00pm, 6:30pm and 8:00pm
• Cartoon Pantomimes – comedic characters performing slap-stick comedy to upbeat music will get audiences laughing
o Deira City Centre: 5:00pm, 6:30pm and 8:00pm
