Dubai, UAE – April 30, 2026: In collaboration with the Hamdan Bin Mohammed Heritage Center, the Mohammed Bin Rashid Library hosted the 'Al Sana'a Council' event, bringing together a distinguished group of public figures alongside children and youth in an engaging and interactive setting. The event forms part of the Library's ongoing efforts to promote authentic Emirati values and strengthen national identity and a sense of belonging among younger generations.
The session explored the Emirati dialect and social etiquette, both of which reflect the authenticity of Emirati society and its deeply rooted values.
Dr. Mohammed Salem AlMazrooei, Board Member at the Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Library Foundation, emphasized that the initiative aligns with the "Year of the Family" and the Library's core mission to preserve national identity and instill authentic values in youth through modern, interactive approaches that resonate with their interests. He noted that nurturing these principles from an early age helps shape a conscious generation that takes pride in its heritage, understands its social responsibilities, and actively contributes to the cohesion and development of society.
The session was delivered by His Excellency Abdullah Hamdan Bin Dalmook, CEO of the Hamdan Bin Mohammed Heritage Center, who highlighted the importance of embedding values in the hearts of younger generations and underscored the vital role of educational and community institutions in this process. He also stressed the pivotal role of teachers in fostering social responsibility, guiding behavior, and serving as role models in building an aware and responsible society.
Bin Dalmook further emphasized the importance of upholding the values upon which Emirati society was founded, describing them as an integrated ethical framework that ensures social balance and cohesion. He explained that Emirati Al Sana'a represents a social heritage and way of life that reflects respect for oneself and others, while reinforcing a strong sense of national identity and belonging.
He concluded by highlighting the significance of the strategic partnership with the Mohammed Bin Rashid Library, describing it as a key collaboration in documenting the nation's heritage and ensuring its transmission to future generations.
The event also addressed the importance of positive role models in children's lives, fostering strong parent-child relationships built on trust and dialogue, and maintaining family privacy. Discussions further explored ways to cultivate social responsibility among youth, empowering them to become active contributors within their schools and communities.
Through initiatives such as the 'Al Sana'a Council,' the Mohammed Bin Rashid Library continues to reinforce its role as a leading cultural institution that bridges heritage with modern society. The Library remains committed to supporting community-driven initiatives, strengthening cultural identity among youth, and advancing its partnership with the Hamdan Bin Mohammed Heritage Center to preserve and promote Emirati heritage for generations to come.
