Dubai, UAE, April 28, 2026: The Mohammed Bin Rashid Library organised the second interactive session in its financial management series, "Numbers Don't Have to be Stressful". Presented by Dr. Alessio Faccia, the session focused on simplifying numbers through real-life examples. The session, which saw a large turnout, attracted various age groups.
The session aimed to reshape perceptions of numbers, transforming them from a source of anxiety into an experience based on understanding, discovery, and enjoyment. It discussed dealing with numbers confidently, by introducing mental techniques that support logical thinking, and incorporating games and interactive activities as effective educational tools.
Participants also engaged in exercises that enhanced interaction and helped reinforce the presented concepts gradually, making the ideas more accessible and strengthening their understanding through hands-on experience.
Moreover, the session emphasised the importance of building a positive relationship with numbers from an early age and the impact this has on developing analytical and decision-making skills. It also stressed that challenges related to mathematics stem less from the subject's difficulty and more from the methods used to teach it, making the development of teaching approaches a key priority.
This event is part of a series of specialised programs hosted by the Mohammed Bin Rashid Library. These events aim to support lifelong learning and enhance 21st-century skills, thereby contributing to preparing a generation capable of critical thinking and engaging with knowledge confidently and flexibly.
