Mohamed bin Hadi Al Hussaini: Zayed Humanitarian Day Reflects the Spirit of Giving That Defines the UAE
His Excellency Mohamed bin Hadi Al Hussaini, Minister of State for Financial Affairs, said that Zayed Humanitarian Day, observed annually on the 19th of Ramadan, is not just a date — it’s the heartbeat of a legacy that turned compassion into policy and generosity into a national identity.
“It commemorates the legacy of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, who laid the foundation for a deeply rooted culture of humanitarian work, solidarity, and giving—a legacy that continues to guide the path of our wise leadership,” Al Hussaini said in a statement marking the occasion.
He added that Zayed Humanitarian Day reaffirms the UAE’s leading global role in the humanitarian field, as the country continues to strengthen international solidarity and extend support to those in need across the world.
“It reflects our steadfast belief that sustainable development and economic prosperity cannot be separated from the values of cooperation and compassion,” Al Hussaini stated.
The minsiter emphasised that the Ministry of Finance plays its part in this journey by developing financial policies that go beyond numbers and balance sheets—policies that support communities, enable charitable initiatives, and help create opportunities for people to live better, more secure lives.
"On this occasion, we renew our commitment to the spirit of giving that our founding father instilled in us—a spirit driven by compassion, unity, and hope. Inspired by this vision and guided by the values of our wise leadership, we will continue to carry forward this path of compassion, making the UAE a beacon of hope and a force for good in the lives of people everywhere," Al Hussaini noted.
