Mahzooz donated 500 food packs to 500 women living in shared accomodations, Drive conducted in collaboration with SmartLife
24 April 2023, Dubai, UAE: For the third consecutive year, Mahzooz, the UAE's leading weekly draw that has crowned 39 millionaires to date, collaborated once again with SmartLife to distribute food hampers to blue collar women living in shared accommodations around Dubai.
In line with its mission to make a positive impact in the communities in which it operates, Mahzooz, the socially responsible draw with the most frequent and highest pay-out, distributed 500 dry food hampers during Ramadan to women living in shared residences at Al Quoz, Dubai.
This initiative was facilitated by SmartLife, a non-profit volunteer-driven organization that specializes in the betterment of blue collars’ lives in the UAE.
“We have been very consistent with our social initiatives throughout the years, and it is thanks to like-minded organizations such as SmartLife that we are able to make a greater impact on the society. This is not the first time we partner with SmartLife, whose mission well resonates with our values” said Farid Samji, CEO of EWINGS, managing operator of Mahzooz.
Previously, through similar collaborations with SmartLife, Mahzooz provided 5000 hot meals and 2000 safety and hygiene packs to blue collar workers and funded an English literacy program which helped hundreds of blue-collar workers graduate.
“Every year, Smartlife celebrates Ramadan as a religious and social event and encourages the local community members to get involved in humanitarian and social initiatives. This year we were pleased to partner once again with Mahzooz, to live the true spirit of giving and distribute Ramadan hampers to those who really need it the most,” said Arun Kumar Krishnan, President, SmartLife.
Mahzooz is committed to changing people’s lives not only through its generous weekly prizes but also through its continuous social contributions, that are carried out exclusively through official NGOs and not-for-profit organizations, which, together, have touched the lives of over 10,000 direct and indirect beneficiaries.
