Dubai Municipality Wins Excellence in Knowledge Management Award

Dubai, 26 May 2021: Dubai Municipality has achieved a global victory in the field of knowledge management, by obtaining the Excellence in Knowledge Management Award from the American Center for Quality and Excellence (APQC).
Dubai Municipality was ranked among the six best institutions in the world in the field of knowledge management and among the best three institutions in the world in implementing the knowledge management program for the Enterprise-Wide category.
This award is given to the most distinguished institutions in the world in preparing and implementing effective programs and work mechanisms in the field of knowledge management that are positively reflected on productivity, services and enhancing innovation principles.
Dubai Municipality won the award after achieving excellent results based on the APQC-approved knowledge management capability assessment tools, which is based on an evidence-based methodology through which knowledge management competencies can be measured and evaluated in the Municipality. It includes four main categories: strategy, people, and processes, content and Information Technology, which falls under 12 sub-criteria. Dubai Municipality received the highest rating (5) in all categories and criteria of the award, which enhances its global leadership. Dubai Municipality had competed with 352 institutions worldwide to win this award.
It should be noted that Dubai Municipality is keen to promote the principles of knowledge, innovation and creativity in its various sectors, and to participate in the most prominent international awards that establish the values of leadership and competitiveness.
APQC is one of the most prominent global organizations in the field of knowledge management, as it is the world leader in evaluating knowledge management programs, with the aim of enhancing the utilization of knowledge and contributing effectively to the achievement of accomplishments and successes.
