Jordan - Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 Vaccine Distribution Statement from UPS

United Arab Emirates - January 14, 2021: UPS (NYSE:UPS) announces the delivery of the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine in Jordan, supporting the country’s fight against the pandemic.
UPS has been at the forefront of the COVID-19 fight since February 2020, and has also supported in distributing millions of diagnostic test kits and biological samples for COVID-19.
Dr. Wael Hayajneh, Secretary General of the Health Ministry for epidemiological affairs and the official in charge of the COVID-19 crisis said: “Today, the Government of Jordan has started its Covid-19 inoculation program, targeting 20-25% of the population according to priority groups, in line with WHO guidelines. The arrival of the vaccine earlier this week was a significant and landmark moment in our nation’s ongoing battle against the COVID-19 pandemic. Global logistics provider UPS played a key role in securing the safe delivery of the Pfizer- BioNTech vaccine to Jordan. The Ministry of Health appreciates the diligent efforts of all parties involved in securing the safe and timely arrival of this quantity of vaccine. We look forward to seeing the positive results of the inoculation program, as we continue to work tirelessly with our partners to ensure the health, safety and wellbeing of the Jordanian citizens and residents.”
