Golden Mile Galleria sets the stage for next edition of Run & Flo free fitness event

 

Dubai, 19 March 2019:   Golden Mile Galleria on Palm Jumeirah is hosting the second edition of its free Run & Flo fitness event following a tremendous response to the first session last month.

 

Over 100 fitness enthusiasts and their friends and families participated in the first Run & Flo last month, guided by triathletes, fitness experts and yoga gurus. The next event is on 23 March, with another session planned for April.  

 

Held on the terraces of Golden Mile Galleria Building 8, adjacent to Al Ittihad Park, the event features Warm Up & Run and Yoga Flow sessions that encourage a healthy and active lifestyle through simple workouts, running, yoga and meditation. Participants can enter either session – or both – free of charge.

 

Run & Flo is a home-grown fitness concept created in collaboration with Core Direction - Dubai’s leading fitness, health and wellness online platform.  

 

Golden Mile Galleria’s Blossom Nursery (@theblossomnursery) is offering free access to a safe activity zone for children while parents participate in Run & Flo, including playdough time, colouring activities, face painting sessions, kids’ yoga, Zumba and building blocks. Meanwhile, Mokha 1450 cafe (@mokha1450) will serve complimentary shots of freshly-brewed iced coffee; Wagamama (@wagamamauae) will serve free juice and Organic Cafe (@organicfooduae) will give complimentary coconut water and protein bars to all participants. 

 

Timings are 4pm for Warm Up & Run and 5.30pm for Yoga Flow. Participants must bring a personal yoga mat, a beach towel and a water bottle to the sessions.

 

 

Warm Up & Run features an energetic 2.6 km sprint at the scenic Al Ittihad Park running track, adjacent to Golden Mile Galleria. 

 

Participants will learn to prepare their bodies and optimise energy prior to the race, guided by  experts from Fitness First (@FitnessFirstME); while, workout rock stars Clifford Tindell (@InspiringMovement), Omar Nour, Brian MacArthur and Tom Walker will lead the energy-charged group run to boost health and fitness levels.

 

 

Yoga Flow is a yoga-based, stress-busting stretching session that offers mental and physical relaxation by loosening muscles and boosting stamina and endurance. 

 

Attendees will experience powerful asanas with Dubai’s top studio and yoga practitioners: Yoga La Vie (@YogaLaVieDub), Nitia Krishna (@nitaiyog) and Allaoua Gaham (@Allaouayogasystema).
