HHC looks forward to collaborating with Louvre Abu Dhabi to boost UAE's cultural heritage

Dubai, UAE, October 06, 2018: The Hamdan Bin Mohammed Heritage Center (HHC) is looking forward to collaborate with Louvre Abu Dhabi in promoting the UAE’s rich cultural heritage.
The HHC recently visited Louvre Abu Dhabi to explore ways of future cooperation between the Center and the world-renowned art and civilization museum.
The HHC delegation, headed by H.E. Abdullah Hamdan bin Dalmook, CEO of Hamdan Bin Mohammed Heritage Center, included a number of heads of departments and officials of the Center. They had a healthy exchange of ideas and proposals with Manuel Rabaté, Director of Louvre Abu Dhabi, on the local heritage aspect of the UAE.
H.E. Abdullah Hamdan bin Dalmook said: “We look forward to working with Louvre Abu Dhabi. With our strong background in promoting Emirati culture, values and traditions at both regional and international levels, we can share our best practices and experience to shed more light and promote the country's civilization.”
“Louvre Abu Dhabi is an institution that presents an important aspect of the cultures of people. They present the strong similarities and avail intercultural understanding in an interesting and easy manner. We urge the residents and locals in our community to visit Louvre Abu Dhabi and interact in the various activities and workshops especially researchers, students and the young generation,” he added.
Mr. Rabaté, for his part, said: “The first step in cooperation is to know each other and so the visit was very important because the content and DNA of the musuem has been sahred. Then it’s obout finding the programs - is it through objects, performance, books, lectures and so on.”
“We are already strongly rooting Louvre Abu Dhabi in the Arab world and then we can always try to do better and more. His Excellency (bin Dalmook) is correct: What is to be done is meaningful- this is a museum, a place of education, beauty, learning and interaction,” he added.
