Dubai, March 20, 2018: Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates and ruler of Dubai, ICJR Middle East 2018 will hold its sixth edition from March 22 – 24 at JW Marriott Marquis Hotel Dubai.
The sixth edition of ICJR will focus on technological advancements and create inroads towards the next steps in joint reconstruction. This year, ICJR ME 2018 attracts over 1500 delegates including prominent speakers, orthopedic surgeons, trainees, nurses and students from more than 50 countries. The event features a three-day conference with seminars, free papers and abstracts on surgical techniques and advanced tips on Shoulder, Hip, Knee, Ankle, Sports Injuries and Ask the experts sessions; alongside running a Cadaver Lab and a full day nursing program parallel to the Conference.
The Conference along with its expert Scientific Committee aims to bring together the joint reconstruction specialists from across the globe to present and deliberate on the contemporary industry developments, techniques and technologies. As in the preceding years, the Conference will endure to pilot the way this year as the region’s exclusive unwaveringly engaging, edifying and networking podium for joint replacement suppliers and practitioners by examining research and development both locally and internationally.
Commenting on the ICJR conference, Dr. Samih Tarabichi, Consultant Orthopedic Surgeon and Director General of Burjeel Hospital for Advanced Surgery, Dubai and also ICJR ME Conference Chairman, said: “We are happy to bring the sixth edition of the annual ICJR ME after a successful event last year. This year, we have free paper, poster presentations and surgical video sessions by experts giving tips and tricks on orthopedic surgeries. Other highlights of the conference include technology and innovations in orthopedic engineering featuring 3-D printing as a pioneering technology in the Middle East, Ask the Experts session, a full-day nursing program as well as the cadaver lab.”
The conference has been awarded 40.5 Continuing Medical Education (CME) points accredited by the Dubai Health Authority (DHA) and subsequently offers its participants and attendees the chance to earn 20.5 CME Credit Hours. While it helps to improve doctors’ practice and care of patients, acquiring CMEs also facilitates the renewal of physician’s professional licenses in the UAE.
The three-day event will present an unprecedented opportunity for international and regional suppliers, distributors and manufacturers to network and establish new business with the Middle East’s leading experts in the field of orthopedics and nursing care. Featured key-note speakers includes Dr. Wolfgang Klauser, Dr. Philip Chapman, Dr. David Blaha and Dr. Ludwig Seebauer among others.
