Ajman municipality to support repatriation of a body of an expert participated in its international environment conference

Ajman, UAE, March 15, 2018: AJMAN and Ukrainian Environmental expert who arrived in the country to participate in the 5th Ajman International Environment Conference on “Climate Change and Sustainability” found dead in his room in the second of the conference which concluded on 7th March 2018.
The deceased who was identified as Dr. Serjiy Lavrynenko, professor at Technical University Kh.P.I presented his paper on the first day of the conference on “Formation of Hierarchical Zink Oxide Nanostructures for solar Energy converters and Photovoltaic” and then left early to his room in Ramada Hotel in Ajman.
He was contacted by the members of the scientific committee of the conference who asked him to come back, but he apologized and informed them he was unwell. They offered to take him to hospital, but he rejected.
In the second day of the conference, he was found dead in his room by the employees of the hotel who informed the police immediately.
The police investigation confirmed it was just a normal death.
Engineer Khalid Al Housani, Executive Director of Public health and Environment at the Department of Municipality and planning said that the deceased came to participate in the conference at his own cost after he was invited by the scientific committee of the conference.
Under the instruction of Sheikh Rashid Bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Chairman of the Department of Ajman Municipality and planning, the Municipality will bear all the cost and carry out all necessary procedure for his repatriation to his country.
