Dubai, UAE, November 15, 2017: Finnair is launching flight ticket sales directly via its official WeChat account in China as the first European airline. It is now also possible to use WeChat Pay as a payment method for the flight tickets sold through its official WeChat account.
Finnair customers are now able to search for Finnair flight tickets, book their flights and complete their purchase with WeChat Pay, all directly through Finnair's official WeChat account.
This enhances the user experience as customers stay within the same platform throughout the entire booking process.
“China is one of our most important markets, and we want to be where our customers are. Enabling ticket sales through WeChat and enabling WeChat Pay are important steps in better serving our customers in this rapidly growing market,” says Juha Järvinen, Chief Commercial Officer at Finnair.
Earlier this year, Finnair opened a Chinese customer service chat via its official WeChat account, which is open 09:00-18:00 daily.
