Dubai, UAE, November 14, 2017:  EPG requested society members to visit any of central post offices to run preventive tests on the occasion of World Diabetes Day 2017, including tests examinations in cooperation with healthcare providers in the different emirates and provide the consultancies for diabetes, nutrition, and the importance of physical activity during 14 to 23 November 2017.

Awareness campaign is organized at EPG head office in cooperation with healthcare providers for employees and auditors including awareness chronic diseases risks and having diabetes test, pressure, cholesterol, bone density test, optometry, and general fitness. The campaign will be, also, organized at the UAE central post offices.

Obaid AlQatami, Acting Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) at Emirates Post Group confirmed EPG celebrates World Diabetes Day as a part of its community responsibility that aims to raise the health awareness of the importance of early diabetes diagnosis as EPG believes the importance of health and regular tests help in the discovery of diseases.

 “We would encourage everyone to avail the opportunities provided by the medical campaigns organized at EPG head offices and receive medical consultancy whether or not suffering from disease, for early prevention of diabetes and cardiovascular diseases and raising the health awareness of the society.” AlQatami added.

He also indicated the strategy of Ministry of Health aims to enhance healthy lifestyles for the Emirati society to prevent diseases and provide special and comprehensive services in sustainable healthy environment in accordance with efficient local and international policies, legislations, programs and partnerships.
