Al Ghandi Auto Hosts Boy Scouts Of America; Supports Them In Earning An Automotive Merit Badge

Dubai, UAE: Al Ghandi Auto, the leading General Motors automotive dealership that sells Chevrolet and GMC vehicles in Dubai and the North Emirates, announced today the hosting of a delegation from the Boy Scouts of America 813 at its service center in Ras Al Khor, as part of its ongoing corporate social responsibility and in line with the company’s strategic direction to support the young generation in their endeavor to develop their skills and enrich their life experiences.  

The Boy Scouts of America’s visit is part of the group’s efforts to achieve an Automotive Merit Badge and to gain hands-on experience from one of the region’s leading car dealerships on safety education and vehicle maintenance. 

“We were delighted to welcome a group of ambitious and disciplined young Scouts who exhibited a high level of eagerness to learn about the safety requirements and maintenance of vehicles from our team in Ras Al Khor,” said John Quinn, Group After Sales Manager at Al Ghandi Auto. “This initiative comes in line with our ongoing support for community activities that focus on creating awareness for safe driving practices and handling roadside emergencies.”

The day-long session, managed by Al Ghandi Auto’s maintenance team, covered essential vehicle education, as outlined in the Merit Badge guidebook, which included: general maintenance, safety, tires, engine, brake system, and car parts.

Commenting on the visit, Ron Carden, Unit Training Coordinator and Assistant Scoutmaster, American School of Dubai Troop 813, said: “The Boy Scouting law underlines for each Scout the main traits of being trustworthy, loyal, helpful, friendly, courteous, kind, among other significant ones that help shape their characters and mold them to become role models in society. I have sensed those same qualities displayed by the entire team at Al Ghandi Auto, who worked hard to present a productive automotive maintenance workshop; demonstrating to our Scouts the value of being productive members of society."
