Water company offers free home recycling service for PET plastic bottles

The UAE government, through the UAE Vision 2021, is implementing important measures to ensure sustainable development while preserving the environment. At the moment, these measures predominantly apply to infrastructure and businesses, with a major focus on the hospitality industry. But UAE residents are also increasingly concerned about protecting the environment and wish to play their part as well, especially through recycling.

In alignment with this important community development aspect, MonViso mineral water has partnered with HomeCycle to become the first water brand distributed in the UAE to provide free recycling service to its customers. Through the HomeCycle online platform, MonViso customers can collect their plastic bottles and request a collection at their doorstep, free of charge. All proceeds of the recycling are donated to the Al Jalila Foundation, a Dubai-based medical research center.

With this recycling initiative MonViso further expands its CSR commitment after already launching the “Take Water Give Life” with the Al Jalila Foundation. Through this program MonViso donates AED 1 per liter of water sold to the Al Jalila Foundation.
