The Navigator Company consolidates presence at Paperworld Middle East

Dubai, UAE, March 19, 2017: The Navigator Company, Europe's leading manufacturer of UWF printing and writing paper, took part for the fifth year running in Paperworld Middle East (Hall4, Stand E12), in Dubai, from 14th to 16th March. Company's central aim is to build further on the business relationships it has been developing in the region, which have enjoyed a clear boost since it first took part in this trade fair, the uncontested leader in paper and office supplies events in the Middle East.
The Navigator Company has in fact achieved successful growth in the Middle East region, helping to cement its position as Portugal's third leading exporter and the exporter that generates the most value added for the Portuguese economy. The Middle East regional market today is second only to Europe and the United States, and The Navigator Company has established itself especially in higher value added segments and in mill brands, accounting for around 35% of European exports of UWF printing and writing paper to the region.
“The buzz created by the Company's own brands at previous editions of Paperworld Middle East have opened up excellent prospects for increasing our product and brand penetration in emerging markets which offer huge potential, such as those in the Middle East, Africa and Asia”, explained António Quirino Soares, marketing manager at The Navigator Company, stressing that the Middle East has shown considerable appetite for premium products and mill brands, which are precisely the Company's strategic areas; this success is not unrelated to the Company's consistent and intense sales efforts in the region over the past decade.
Hoping to beat last year's figures, when Paperworld Middle East attracted more than 300 exhibitors and around 6000 professional visitors from 115 countries, this year's event featured a stand for The Navigator Company where it displayed its top office paper brands, such as Discovery, MultiOffice and Soporset, but with pride of place going to Navigator, the world's favourite brand in the premium segment, recently identified by Opticom's Brand Equity Index as the brand with the best awareness rating, the best sales and the best loyalty ratings, as well as coming out on top for perceived quality.
Ranked first for the first time in every category of the Brand Equity Index, Navigator is a paper brand in a class of its own and one of the best recognised office paper brands in Europe. This performance has been certified by the Buyers Laboratory INC (BLI), the leading independent laboratory for testing office equipment and consumer protection body.
