“A busy season ahead for the beverage industry in Dubai”
Dubai, United Arab Emirates, 21 February 2017: A list of big shows and events are lined up to take place in Dubai next month, keeping experts and specialists in the beverage industry busy. A number of events will be taking place highlighting the latest trending technologies, products and services in this burgeoning industry.
Of those events happening in Dubai, the ninth edition of the Dubai Drink Technology Expo takes place from 7- 9 March 2017 at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre. This year, Dubai Drink Technology Expo is marked by the participation of over 100 local, regional, and international exhibiting companies covering the whole spectrum of the beverage industry, all coming to display and share their latest products, services, techniques, and expertise.
Dubai Drink Technology Expo is one of the main B2B trade events in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region for beverage companies to present their latest technologies and innovative system solutions for the entire production chain of various beverages ranging from carbonated drinks, fruit juices, bottled water, energy and wellness drinks, milk, functional drinks, tea, and coffee.
Commenting about this industry, Eng. Anas Al Madani, Vice-Chairman and Group CEO of INDEX Holding said: “The beverage industry is currently witnessing a period of rapid change. Healthy drinks are on the rise, and the demand for more organic components can't be ignored.”
Eng. Anas Al Madani added: “The global sales of sugary sodas are constantly falling, leaving a void in the markets that beverage producers have to fill. Figures have shown that sales of carbonated beverages in North America were flat in 2016; thus, the global beverage industry has been reshaping itself, and the Middle East region is starting to witness similar changes in local demand. The industry is witnessing a rise in the number of new beverages relying on new ingredients, sizes, and packaging. Dubai Drink Technology Expo 2017 aims to address those rapid changes in consumer demand, and help beverage producers to prepare to and benefit from those changes and opportunities.”
“Being the exclusive conference and exhibition for the beverage industry in the Middle East and North Africa Region, Dubai Drink Technology Expo in its 9th edition aims to empower those working in this industry to boost their productivity and become more competitive on a global scale. It also supports the industry efforts in product innovation and competitiveness. The conference will highlight innovations in beverage production and packaging, and it will feature the trends and the challenges facing the industry, in addition to many other pressing issues,” He concluded.
Running parallel to the exhibition, the 6th Global Water & Beverage Technology Congress will feature a number of educational sessions and B2B business meetings over 3 days, and the conference will be held under the theme “ The Future of Beverage Processing & Packaging”. A fine list of buyer-focused keynote speakers from the industry will discuss the latest innovations in the water & beverage industry, sanitation & microbial control, beverage trends and the regulatory environment, challenges and the future of beverage packaging, and many more.
The Dubai Drink Technology Expo is organized by INDEX Conferences and Exhibitions Organization Est., member of INDEX Holding, and it is supported by the International Society of Beverage Technology (ISBT), the American Beverage Association, TEA board of India, Arab Asian Beverage Alliance, UAE Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Dubai Export Development Corporation, Jebel Ali Free Zone (JAFZA), and Dubai Department of Economic Development.
