Final round of Jacky’s Electronics’ “The Dance Off” competition to showcase the 90 best dancers in UAE
Dubai, UAE, October 3, 2016: Visitors to this year’s GITEX Shopper will not only find the latest consumers electronics products at the best possible prices, they can also count on amazing entertainment as the final round of the Jacky’s Electronics’ “The Dance Off” competition takes place on the retailing giant’s stand at the show. Not only will nine lucky contestants each earn the title of UAE’s Best Dancer, but will also each win an all-expenses paid international trip.
Earlier in September, Jacky’s Electronics launched a kid’s and adults dance competition to recognise and support the region’s top talented dancers. With almost 900 entries auditioning at the start of the competition, and a series of gruelling rounds that included eliminations in Round 1, the quarter-finals and the semi-finals, 90 participants have reached the finals. This week sees nine adult winners win an all-expenses paid trip to Germany to attend the Urban Dance professional dance camp. Top kids will win an all-expenses paid trip to Georgia. Other lucky contestants will get to take their dancing to another level by training at DANS Institute in Dubai.
Mahesh Chotrani, Assistant Vice President at Jacky’s Electronics, commented: “We have been in the UAE for over 28 years now and have always believed in nurturing the talent in this region, which is why we organised this dancing competition that has already showcased almost 900 talented dancers in the local community.”
GITEX Shopper 2016 runs until Saturday, 8 October and is open from 11:00am - 11:00pm every day. This year, tickets for GITEX Shopper will be priced at AED 30 for the weekdays and AED 35 for the weekend. Entry is free for children below the age of five.
