Dubai Health Authority forms Corporate Excellence Council.

Dubai, UAE, August 17, 2016: The Dubai Health Authority (DHA) has formed a Corporate Excellence Council to ensure provision of high quality health services and continuous innovation and development in the medical field in Dubai.
The council is chaired by His Excellency Humaid Al Qatami, Chairman of the Board and Director-General of the DHA and the council will focus on a number of pertinent initiatives such as provision of high quality medical care and customer service, foreseeing innovation management, investment in human capital and implementation of DHA’s health strategy 2016-2021.
Al Qatami has handed over tasks to the committee to oversee a number of initiatives such as ensuring DHA’s participation in important local, regional and international healthcare events, competitions and conferences so that the Authority can regularly benchmark itself and ensure that it is up-to-date with the latest in health services at a global level. The committee will also study international best practices across certain areas of healthcare periodically.
The initiative also includes supporting and encouraging DHA teams to participate in the award programs such as the Dubai Government Excellence Program Award and the Sheikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Award for Medical Sciences.
The council will also focus on investment in human capital by monitoring existing retention and recruitment policies, continuing its support and encouragement to ensure DHA health professionals seek specializations and super-specializations thus ensuring a continuous stream of highly qualitied talent pool for the health sector in the Emirate.
