Dubai, UAE July 18, 2016: The new generation Mercedes-Benz GLS promises to increase the SUV sales share for Gargash Enterprises this year. As per the current scenario, the SUV segment constitutes to approximately 40% of the total sales share and is expected to increase with the launch of the unique 7-seater GLS in the region.
The all-new GLS fulfills every SUV enthusiast’s desire for sport, comfort and class combined with highest standards of quality executed with finesses in every automotive element. The arrival of the GLS is sure to be overwhelming and should reflect on the volume growth chart for Gargash Enterprises this year.

Priced from AED 430,500 onwards, the new generation Mercedes-Benz GLS is testified to be the S-Class of SUVs, combining luxury of the S-Class and off-road performance of the G-Class. It possesses a strong appearance, provides absolute comfort and ensures high level of safety. The GLS comes in two models: GLS 500 with a 4.7-litre engine delivering 455hp and the world’s fastest full size 7-seat Mercedes-AMG GLS 63 with a 5.5-litre V8 biturbo engine delivering a powerful 585hp.
A true leader in its category, the new GLS’s modernized design elements convey the Mercedes-Benz hallmark “sensual purity” and strengthen the presence and imposing nature of the GLS. With DYNAMIC SELECT, the new GLS provides up to six transmission modes, ensuring greater driving experience. When compared with its predecessor, the GLS demonstrates more dominance and character.
The design includes eye-catching AMG body styling with AMG specific front and rear aprons, wheel arch extensions in the vehicle colour as well as AMG light-alloy wheels up to 22 inches. Night-time vision is improved by the optionally available LED Intelligent Light System, while adverse weather conditions resulting in impaired visibility are defused by MAGIC VISION CONTROL.
The extensive design modifications change the front-end design considerably while the rear has been modernised primarily in the area of the bumper and taillights, giving the GLS greater presence. Eye-catching highlights in the interior include the newly designed instrument panel with semi-integrated media display, the new 3-spoke multifunction steering wheel, the modified center console with touchpad and new appointment colours and trim elements. Equipped with the latest in technology, the GLS highlights features such as Driving Assistance Package Plus and AIRMATIC Air Suspension with ADS PLUS. Newly-introduced safety features such as COLLISION PREVENTION ASSIST PLUS, DISTRONIC PLUS with Steering Assist and Stop&Go, and BAS PLUS with Cross-Traffic Assist, add to the energising comfort of the drive.
Featuring nine forward gears, this automatic transmission takes efficiency, comfort and dynamism to a completely new level. At the same time, the 9G-TRONIC also helps to reduce fuel consumption. The ACTIVE CURVE SYSTEM controls the rolling motion of the vehicle, adding to driving comfort when on the road.
