Stylish new Toyota Fortuner sees 25% growth in the UAE

Dubai, United Arab Emirates, June 14, 2016 – The second generation of the highly popular Toyota Fortuner seven-seat SUV, featuring fully redesigned exterior and interior styling, coupled with legendary off-road performance synonymous with Toyota SUVs, has seen its UAE sales increase by an impressive 25% compared to the same period last year.

Launched earlier this year by Al-Futtaim Motors, exclusive distributor of Toyota in the UAE, the new Fortuner features a more distinctive, sleek and powerful design with improved driving dynamics and fuel consumption, as well as a wide variety of features for additional convenience, safety and ride comfort.

“With the medium SUV segment constituting a competitive 46% of the volume SUV market, the improved sales performance of the new Fortuner gives us the confidence that this iconic vehicle will continue to drive Toyota’s market leadership in that segment,” said Saud Abbasi, Managing Director of Toyota at Al-Futtaim Motors.

The new Fortuner enjoys a 6-speed automatic transmission and is available in a 2.7-litre four-cylinder engine and a 4.0-litre V6 engine.
While the  the exterior has been completely overhauled, expressing a more compelling design, the new Fortuner exhibits new levels of cabin elegance and comfort, through an ample interior space, complemented by superb convenience feature that help deliver a sublime driving experience. The interior exhibits the toughness of an SUV, tempered with the elegance of a premium sedan. 

New innovative touches (model dependent) include a seven-inch tablet-inspired multimedia touchscreen display that allows easy operation of on-screen features, a Smart Entry and Start system, an electronic 4WD switch and second-row seats with one-touch operation for ease of folding.

The new Fortuner is available in eight exterior colours across all Toyota showrooms in the UAE, with prices starting at AED 105,900 for the 2.7L EXR, and AED 127,900 for the 4.0L GXR and AED 139,900 for the top of the line 4.0L VXR.
