Puck Announces Winner of the Thank Your Mom Competition

UAE, Dubai, 08 February 2016 – Puck, the popular the dairy brand, has today announced that Abeer Fahad is the winner of its Thank Your Mom competition, which is part of the brand’s successful Celebrating The Everyday Chef campaign.
Abeer was selected as the competition winner after showing her appreciation for her mom with the message that read “Mom, this cheese is pure white like your heart and this plate is blue like your pretty eyes. I love it and I love you.” As a reward for her heart felt tribute Abeer and her mum will be jetting off to Europe for a week long break courtesy of Puck.
The month long competition saw a total of 21,830 children from the UAE and Saudi Arabia say thank you to their moms through Puck’s online platform. To give their thanks children were encouraged leave a personal message saying how much they appreciate their mom on a virtual plate in 85 characters or less.
As part of Puck’s Celebrating the Everyday Chef campaign, the competition is one of many activities the brand has carried out throughout the year in order to champion Moms across Middle East. With the understanding of how tough being a mom can sometimes be, Puck acts as an ally in the kitchen, inspiring and supporting mums to cook nourishing and tasty meals for their children every day.
Speaking about the campaign, Suzy Fahim, Senior Regional Manager in Arla Food MEA said, “We are delighted with the participation numbers from the children in both the UAE and Saudi Arabia taking part in both the competition and in-mall activations. We understand that being a mum is one of the toughest jobs in the world, which is why we created the ‘Celebrating the Everyday Chef’ activations specifically designed for children so they can really give back and thank their moms for the great job they’re doing every day, and we have been inspired by the response, as have the moms involved.”
In addition to the competition Puck also launched in-mall activations in Dubai and Saudi Arabia, where specially designed interactive art installations created out of plates were on display to visitors of City Centre Mirdif Mall in Dubai and The Red Sea Mall in Jeddah. Puck brand ambassadors were on hand to children from families passing by to write a special thank you message to their mom on an empty plate, which was then added to the installations. Across the campaign, thousands of mom’s appreciated the heartfelt tributes from their children, celebrating their never-ending hard work and devotion.
