UAE, November 18, 2015 - This year’s edition of The Big 5 fair, the largest exhibition for the construction sector in the Middle East organized annually in Dubai, UAE, will be held from November 23 to 26, 2015 at the Dubai World Trade Center. The highly anticipated event will be seeing the participation of six leading Brazilian companies specializing in the supply and manufacture of infrastructure materials. The result of the joint partnership between the Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce (ABCC) and the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (Apex-Brasil), the Brazilian Pavilion is set to occupy 120 meters in the event hall which will showcase a wide variety of offerings from the participants.
Among those who will be attending the fair this year are Pettrus, Deca, Tramontina, Poliex, Itagres, and Rohden. The roster features a broad sampling as Pettrus specializes in decorative stones, while Deca offers sanitary ware and metal fittings. Tramontina manufactures tools, vats and sinks, among others, and Poliex is a leading marble company. Itagres develops porcelain and ceramic tiles and Rohden is a trusted door manufacturer. Tramontina, Pettrus and Deca will occupy two stands. The Arab Chamber will also have its own space within the pavilion.
Dr. Michael Alaby, Secretary General and CEO, ABCC, said: “The Big 5 fair reflects the vibrant construction sector and a wealth of untapped opportunities in the Middle East region. It provides a wonderful platform to showcase Brazil’s quality products and strengthen the brand of Brazilian companies in an international arena. Pettrus, Deca and Tramontina have already been to other editions of the fair, and will once again be participating and presenting their range of products. Their return attendance is a result of their previous successes, which have encouraged them to pursue investments in the Middle East market and consolidate their respective brands.”
The Big 5 Fair is a gateway to the MENA region that provides companies with strong networking opportunities. Drawing thousands of exhibitors from across the globe with countless visitors from all walks of life and a series of industry-related educational programs, the event is an ideal building and construction platform that can allow brands to strengthen their position in the market and consolidate the brand of exporting companies. Companies not attending the fair are given the option to contact the organization in order to distribute promotional materials.
“The Middle East features a dynamic business and economic landscape that continues to expand according to ever-evolving consumer demands. With big infrastructure projects lined up across the Gulf in the following years which includes immense shopping malls, hospital complexes, retail and residential buildings along with construction expansions in airports and transportation, the construction sector is currently experiencing strong positive growth. This is a wonderful encouragement as we would like to strengthen ties between the Middle East and Brazil in this regard,” concluded Alaby.
