Comicave to ring in a year of success with gala geekfest

One of UAE’s biggest cosplay event to be held at Dubai Outlet Mall

Dubai, UAE, October 27, 2015: Comicave, a subsidiary of Al Ahli Holding Group (AAHG), a UAE-based multi-diversified international conglomerate is celebrating its first year anniversary with a host of events lined up for excited fans. 

The world’s largest comic books and collectibles retail and distribution destination, Comicave, spread over 17,000 sq. ft., had opened its doors to excited fans a year ago at Dubai Outlet Mall. Within the year, the superstore concept has become the fastest growing pop-culture retailer in the UAE. 

“Comicave was conceptualized a few years back and has grown leaps and bounds over the last 12 months. We have successfully become a renowned name in the pop culture fraternity, bringing about a paradigm shift in the way we conceive consumption of pop culture, entertainment and merchandize. The retail destination has attracted several international celebrities, brands and visitors over the year, slowly making Comicave one of the must-visit tourist attractions in UAE,” said Mr. Mohammed Khammas, CEO, Al Ahli Holding Group. 

Ringing in its first year anniversary, Comicave has a whole host of spectacular events and promotions lined up. Starting from the Halloween comicfest promotion, ‘Trick or Treat’, where fans can dig into a beefy 20 percent discount on hottest Halloween collectibles at the store – to the curtain raiser event on October 31 at Dubai Outlet Mall’s center court, that gives winners a direct access to the finals of UAE’s biggest cosplay event, soon to be unveiled by AAHG’s subsidiary Universal Events.

“Comicave has been an exciting journey that started a year back and it has become UAE’s sole point of contact for pop-culture lovers where they get an opportunity to be immersed in a first-of-its-kind retail environment providing complete innovative experience for consumers in this region. Comicave is however not limiting its physical presence only at the store. The pop-culture retailer, along with its sister concern Gold’s Gym UAE will be part of Dubai’s first zombie obstacle course, ‘The Contagion Run’. The event will test a participant’s zombie apocalypse survival skills and Comicave and Gold’s Gym UAE will urge both, the zombies and humans by giving away extra lives in their role as the event’s sponsor and exhibitor.     

With the end of October abuzz with action for Comicave, the last quarter has begun on a high note and Miss Yasmin added that there are more attractions lined up for fans, before 2015 bids adieu.
