Martin Garrix Wins Best Electronic Act during MTV's European Music Awards

Dubai, 26th October 2015: This year has been an incredible roller coaster ride for one of the youngest and fastest-rising superstars of the electronic dance music industry. 19-year old Martin Garrix has already achieved an overwhelming success over the past few years. DJ Mag’s #3 Best DJ in the world was nominated for the Best Electronic Act for this year’s European Music Awards and was announced as the winner of the award during the event. He accepted the award after playing a set with Dutch DJ Afrojack. Garrix beat out superstars like Avicii, Calvin Harris, David Guetta, and Major Lazer, by way of fans votes, to take home the award.

The Dutch producer has headlined many of the biggest festivals around the world and will be seen in Dubai at the hottest New Year’s Eve party at Meydan Dubai. Envie Events, the company behind the biggest EDM event in Dubai, Sensation, is making this happen.

Martin Garrix has released several hits such as platinum-certified “Animals”, and may release his debut album soon. Picked up by Spinnin’ Records, and subsequently backed by Scooter Braun, the 19-year-old has a string of accolades to his name including one of Electronic Dance Music’s Youngest Superstars, Billboard’s prestigious ’21 under 21’ and Forbes’ ’30 under 30’.
