13th July 2015, UAE: Sadia, a pioneer in the frozen food industry has rolled out their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative this Ramadan by reaching out to several labour camps in the UAE. A brand with such stature has rightfully positioned itself as a world leader and continues to grow globally by forward thinking on how to give back to the community.
In the spirit of Ramadan, Sadia and its employees have reached thousands of labourers through their CSR initiative. Every week the employees at Sadia join forces to prepare the ‘Sadia Iftar Box’ containing sumptuous delicious meals for the labour camps. These Iftar Boxes were distributed by Sadia’s employees and staff to several labour camps on a weekly basis every Monday for the entire month of Ramadan across the UAE.
Sadia has donated over 2,000+ Iftar Boxes and plans to further donate until the end of Ramadan. The labour camps that Sadia has donated cover areas around Al Quoz, Sonapur, Dubai Investment Park and Jebel Ali. The initiative is apt considering the Holy month of Ramadan is a time for reverence and heightened social responsibility.
Aside from the Iftar Boxes, Sadia employees are also gearing up another special treat for labourers. A “Goodie Box” full of personal care items such as oral hygiene and grooming products will be distributed to the chosen labour camps this coming Eid Al-Fitr.
From its modest beginnings, today the entire Sadia organization has come forward to support the CSR initiative.
