Dubai to host 13th IAMRA conference in 2018

Dubai, United Arab Emirates, 21 June, 2015: The Dubai Health Authority(DHA) will host the 13th International Association of Medical Regulatory Authorities (IAMRA) conference in Dubai in 2018, said a top health official.

Dr Layla Al Marzouqi, director of health regulation and Dubai medical tourism project, said: “This is the first time this conference will take place in the Middle-East and North Africa( MENA) region and we are proud to host this conference in Dubai.  IAMRA has 80 members from 41 countries and we share the common goal that patients should have access to highly qualified and competent medical staff.  Health regulation is key to ensure safe and efficient health delivery and since the healthcare field is ever changing with newer processes and technologies, regulations need to keep pace with this growth.”

Al Marzouqi added that in October 2014 the DHA held the 1st Dubai Health Regulation and Medical Tourism in Dubai and IAMRA was a partner in that conference.

DHA keenly promotes and supports health conferences as they provide an opportunity to discuss the latest in the field with experts from the region and abroad.

DHA members from the DHA health regulation department have been elected  on two committees for IAMRA: IAMRA Members Committee; and Physician information Exchange committee.
