Dubai Health Authority(DHA) distributes Ramadan Care Packages

United Arab Emirates, Dubai, June 14, 2015: The Dubai Health Authority(DHA) in collaboration with Dubai Charity Association has begun distribution of Ramadan Care Packages to needy patients and DHA staff members.
More than 250 care packages were given to Hatta hospital and about 300 to Rashid Hospital. The hospital administration will help distribute these packages to those in need. The packages have all the dry items such as rice, cooking oil etc. required to prepare meals during the holy month of Ramadan.
Salem Bin Lahej, Director of the Mosaadah( assistance) committee at the DHA, said: “ We are thankful to Dubai Charity Association who have always supported such humanitarian initiatives and this year, ahead of the holy month of Ramadan, they provided us with care packages which will be distributed to patients with financial constraints and staff members of the DHA.”
In addition to this, the committee will provide Iftar meals during the holy month of Ramadan. The meals are sponsored by the Beit Al Khair association and DHA staff members.
The meals will be available in Dubai, Rashid and Latifa hospital. Last year, 15000 people benefitted from these meals, this year the committee hopes to provide Iftar meals to 18,000 people.
