The annual Dubai World Cup horse race is held at the Meydan Racecourse. Founded in 1996, the competition was created through the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.
