Ramadan Dubai celebrates Zayed Humanitarian Day

27 May 2019, Dubai, UAE: The Dubai Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department organized a series of programs and events in Dubai that coincided with the Zayed Humanitarian Day, in addition to highlighting the achievements of the founder of the State, Sheikh Zayed, and his great efforts to promote the nation and its institutions and citizens.

In the presence of Mr. Ahmed Darwish Al Muhairi, Executive Director of the Charity Sector, IACAD General Coordinator of Ramadan Dubai, the Rashidiya Majlis in Dubai organized a Ramadan session, in collaboration with the Community Development Authority hosting HE Dr. Eid Bakhit Al Mazrouei, Second Deputy Chairman of the National Council previously, who was accompanied by Sheikh Zayed in his life, to talk on the virtues and wonders of the late ruler, may God rest his soul. He elaborated on the biography of the Sheikh and his relationship with other people, aspects of his kindness, and his wisdom on local and international scope. The audience enjoyed a story that the public heard only for the first time of the exploits of the founder of the state and the depth of his thinking, and his great quest and aspiration for the advancement of the homeland and its institutions, citizens and generations.

For his part, Sheikh Abdul Rahman Al-Mulla, Religious Guidance in IACAD, discussed that the virtue of good work, the promotion of Islam, and giving help are the influences of the late Sheikh. He also urged people to do good to the general public as this has an impact on people and humanity.

At the Grand Rashidiya Mosque, a lecture on Zayed Humanitarian Day was delivered by Sheikh Omar Saad Basalaa, Grand preacher in IACAD . He said that this meeting on the blessed night of this great month had been renew the memory of a great leader and pioneer and inspiration for the UAE society and the world as a model. He also added that goodness is continuing generation after generation, pointing out that when one digs the pages of history, Sheikh Zayed hit the finest examples of generosity and tenderness and charity, and that one will hear only praises for his beautiful works because he was a loving man to his country and people, and that goodness is imbedded in his blood. Sheikh Zayed was a reflection of God's goodness and the preservation of God's legacy, and for this he had made his place in paradise with the prophets and the martyrs. Further, the homeland has adopted these virtues and extends blessings to all the needy. He also prayed for the UAE to be saved from strife and hatred and be filled with the blessing of security and stability.

The Ramadan Dubai activity in Dubai Mall has witnessed the establishment of a mural with the image of Sheikh Zayed, and the interaction of the public since morning including different nationalities, gender and age. Together they filled flowers throughout the day until the picture was completed. There were also poems of Ramadan Dubai and about the Year of Tolerance, in addition to a short video featuring the most important stages in the life of the late Sheikh Zayed and his most famous statements. A storyteller shared more details as well. Other highlight of the activity include competitions and distribution of gifts and prizes to winners.
