June 24, 2016; Dubai, UAE: Dubai’s largest night souq, Ramadan Night Market, opened its doors to public among much anticipation and excitement. The 10-day event, from June 23 to July 2, at Za’abeel Hall 5, Dubai World Trade Centre, was inaugurated by H.E. Sami Al Qamzi, Director General of Dubai Department of the Economic Development, in the presence of organisers Sumansa Exhibitions and visitors waiting for the event to commence. The event features more than 300 exhibitors and is expecting a visitor footfall of over 100,000 during the 10 days. Ramadan Night Market will be open from 8pm to 2am on all 10 days. The entry fee of the event is AED 5 per person with free passage for children under 5 years.
The annual shopping extravaganza brings with it amazing family entertainment, exclusive deals, discounts and opportunities to win fabulous prizes, mouth-watering array of international cuisines and gaming zones for both adults and children. Visitors will be spoilt for choice given the variety of products from clothing, jewellery and accessories, health and beauty products, perfumes, home appliances, electronics, toys, handicrafts, automobiles, travel and tourism and medical among other attractions.
“It’s been a great five-year journey for Ramadan Night Market which has grown progressively,” said Samantha Cordeiro Miranda, Brand Manager, Sumansa Exhibitions, “We have had a very encouraging response from our visitors who eagerly wait for the annual market. It gives us a great pleasure to welcome them again and we would like to thank them for giving us the reasons to return every year. Ramadan Night Market is more than just a shopping extravaganza; it’s an opportunity to simply relax, eat some good food, get an adrenaline rush while playing exciting games and basically spend some good family time. We realise the importance of indoor entertainment, particularly during hot summer and the fact that most children are on vacation, so this fun-filled consumer fair with diverse range of interests is just the right answer.”
Shopping aside – that comes with its own set of tempting deals and discounts – this year’s Ramadan Night Market is packed with entertainment value, courtesy new thrilling adventures in the gaming zones, living statues, cartoon character mascots, more intensive free health check-ups, exclusive henna majlis for ladies and the new, fun-filled confetti theatre for children. Visitors can look forward to a range of bargains: from discounts up to 80 percent to free vouchers and gifts and even home delivery on certain purchases. One can even win a free return ticket daily courtesy Jet Airways, by simply visiting the Market!
Foodies, on the other hand, can look forward to a culinary galore with a selection from a huge number of food outlets all under one roof. Now is the time to sink one’s teeth into the milky ice cream from Kulfilicious, munch on the momos from YallaMomos, slurp on the fruity nectar from Haji Ali Juices while gorging on their grilled sandwiches or just sip on flavoured tea from Cutting Chai. Creamy, frothy coffees, sweet, dripping pancakes, deep fried treats, spicy Indian chaats, healthy cut fruit, gorgeous chocolate delights, and much more characterise this year’s massive food court, which has traditionally been one of the star attractions of the consumer fair.
Gaming zone, yet another popular feature of the Ramadan Night Market, gets a boost with more exciting additions, making the visit a worthwhile excursion. The competitive activities at Play and Win area ups the stakes with games ranging from Bazooka Blaster, Lobster Pot, Kick the Bucket, Pyramid Smash, Basketball – all specially designed to offer a complete family package and fun night out. For parents who want to enjoy a guilt-free shopping trip, the Kids Play Area is fully equipped to keep the little ones absorbed in all kinds of creative interests. Watch your child have fun with face painting, sand art, bouncy castles, nail art, mini basketball and wall climbing. The Market also features Kiddie train, Merry-go-round, Play station, clowns, balloon twisting, Arts & Crafts Area, Soft Play area and Rodeo Bull. Cute contests and workshops add the educational element to the milieu.
Few of the participating exhibitors at the market include Cutting Chai Restaurant, Jet Airways, Atelier Catherine Masson, Bicolored Apples from Europe, Big Brands Factory Outlet, Canadian Specialist Hospital, Maxvision Trading LLC, Cosmos Group, Bellissimo Perfume and Cosmetics, Cross Gulf, Desert Group, Emirates Driving Institute, Hidesign Middle East, Yalla Momos, Sterling Perfumes, Magicsky Middle East, Grand Stores, Haji Ali Juice Centre, Lifestyle Jewellery, Etisalat, Kara Gold & Diamond amongst many others.
“This year, we are proud to present a much wider range of entertainment. For example, the famous puppet shows Confetti Theatre debuts this year to educate children on the core moral values and safety tips with the help of colourful puppets. Then we also have thrilling robot rides, 9D Virtual Cinema, a reality gaming simulator that immerses the player in a realistic, simulated VR gaming experience. Youngsters can also dabble at PlayStation Kiosks that offer a unique gaming experience with 3D & LED screens,” added Samantha.
The Gold Sponsor for Ramadan Night Market is Cutting Chai, while Physique TV and Dubai Life TV are the TV Partners. Channel 4 Network serves as Radio Partner, along with Jet Airways as the Official Airline Partner. Travel Arabia is the Official Magazine Partner of the event.
