The Role Working with a Tier 1 main contractor in the UAE, taking ownership of tenders from enquiry through to submission. - Review tender documents, drawings and specifications and identify scope - Produce accurate take offs and build up rates for labour, material and plant - Obtain and analyse subcontractor and supplier quotations - Prepare full cost estimates and present them at settlement meetings - Attend site visits and pre tender meetings with clients and consultants - Work with the bid team to deliver submissions on time - Support handover of won projects to the commercial team
Requirements - Estimating experience with a main contractor, ideally in the UAE or wider GCC - Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering or similar - Strong take off and measurement skills, confident with CostX or similar - Good understanding of the local supply chain and subcontractor market - Able to manage several live tenders at once and work to deadlines
