Responsible for controlling the pre-contract and post-contract documentation of projects by preparing the BOQ’s, calculating materials and manpower required, appraising the value of proposed variations, verifying cost and invoices, carrying out periodic reports of progress, and processing final payments. Roles and Responsibilities: Implementing cost controls and financial control procedures as outlined in the construction contracts. Measuring and assessing client’s variations to the construction works and the contractors claims for changes. Identifying areas of concern and assessing their potential impact upon the project budget. Assisting in the review of time extensions, delays, and penalties. Preparing progress valuations in respect of interim monthly and final payments Assessing, measuring, advising, and recommending the cost impact of design changes. Preparing Change/Variation Orders and reporting upon cost impacts of such orders on the construction budget. Assisting in the reviews, assessments, and reports on contractor claims Preparing project cost and cash flow reports. Qualifications A minimum of 10 years post-graduate experience of quantity surveying, preferably in the Gulf Region across building and mix use development projects.

Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering with quantity surveying, or an equivalent discipline. An M.Sc. in Quantity Surveying (M.Sc.-QS) is an added advantage. Strong hands-on experience with FIDIC Forms of Contract. Sound knowledge and practical experience in Standard Methods of Measurement, including POMI, CESMM3, and CESMM4. Professional membership such as MRICS and/or MAIQS will be an advantage and preferred. A minimum of 7–10 years of relevant experience in the UAE, preferably within the consultancy or construction industry.
