Business Analyst (Freelance) Location: Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Fujairah, UAE (Hybrid) Contract Duration: Initial 6-Month Contract with possibility of extension Employment Type: Freelance / Independent Contractor About the Role We are looking for an experienced Business Analyst to join our team on an initial 6-month freelance contract. This is a hybrid role, offering a combination of onsite and remote work. As a Business Analyst, you will play a key role in bridging the gap between business needs and technology solutions. You will work closely with stakeholders, project teams, and technical experts to gather requirements, analyze business processes, and support the successful delivery of strategic initiatives and transformation projects. This role offers the potential for extension beyond the initial contract period, based on project requirements and performance. Key Responsibilities • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather, document, and validate business requirements. • Analyze current business processes and identify opportunities for improvement and optimization. • Translate business needs into clear functional and non-functional requirements. • Facilitate workshops, meetings, and discussions with stakeholders across multiple business units. • Create and maintain business requirements documents (BRDs), user stories, process flows, and functional specifications. • Work closely with development, testing, and project teams to ensure solutions align with business objectives. • Support change management activities and user adoption initiatives. • Participate in testing activities, including User Acceptance Testing (UAT), to validate delivered solutions. • Monitor project progress, identify risks, and escalate issues where appropriate. • Provide regular status updates and communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels. • Support process documentation and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements
Required Skills & Experience • Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. • 4+ years of experience as a Business Analyst within technology, digital transformation, or IT projects. • Strong experience gathering, documenting, and managing business requirements. • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. • Experience creating process maps, workflow diagrams, and business documentation. • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills. • Experience working with Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, or hybrid project delivery methodologies. • Familiarity with project management and collaboration tools such as Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms. • Ability to effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical audiences. • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities. Preferred Qualifications • Professional certifications such as CBAP, CCBA, PMI-PBA, Agile BA, or equivalent. • Experience working on enterprise-scale transformation or digitalization projects. • Knowledge of business process improvement methodologies. • Experience working with data analysis, reporting, and dashboarding tools. • Understanding of change management principles and best practices. • Previous experience working within the UAE or GCC region.
