The Role
· The Senior MEP Planner is responsible for developing, maintaining, and controlling integrated Primavera P6 programmes for all MEP works within underground & At Grade Stations, fully aligned with station civil/finishing activities and rail systems requirements. · The role ensures that design, procurement, installation, testing, and commissioning activities for MEP systems are logically linked to station readiness milestones, authority approvals, and overall project key dates. · The position provides schedule visibility to project management by establishing robust construction trackers and interface registers, enabling early identification of risks, constraints, and potential delays affecting station completion and system handover. · Develop and maintain baseline and updated Primavera P6 schedules for all station MEP works, fully integrated with civil, architectural finishing, and rail systems programmes. · Define detailed activity breakdowns for design, submittals, approvals, procurement, manufacturing, delivery, installation, testing, and commissioning of MEP systems (HVAC, fire protection, plumbing and drainage, electrical and LV systems, BMS, communications, etc.). · Establish and manage interface logic between station finishing works and MEP installations to ensure correct sequencing of works, access provisions, and timely site readiness for systems integration and testing. · Prepare and maintain construction trackers and dashboards (e.g., site readiness trackers by zone/level, submittal and procurement trackers) to monitor progress and identify constraints affecting critical paths. · Coordinate regularly with design teams to align schedules with design deliverable dates, value engineering outcomes, design changes, and authority review durations, updating programmes accordingly. · Align procurement programmes with construction needs, tracking long?lead MEP items and system components to ensure deliveries support installation and testing milestones. · Support station construction teams by providing short?term (3?week / 6?week) look?ahead schedules and recovery plans where slippage is observed. · Monitor MEP progress using agreed measurement rules of credit, update actuals in P6, and report key variances and trends to the Planning Manager and Project Director. · Participate in interface meetings with civil, architectural, systems, rolling stock, and operations stakeholders to validate programme logic and agree interface milestones. · Contribute to delay analysis and extension-of-time assessments related to MEP works, by providing time-impact analyses, window analyses, and supporting documentation as required. · Ensure that all planning and reporting outputs comply with Etihad Rail and Engineer/PMC requirements, including periodic reports, histograms, S-curves, progress narratives, and risk registers. · Maintain planning records, including approved baselines, revision history, progress updates, interface registers, and assumptions for audit and claims purposes.

Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or equivalent discipline from a recognized university. Professional membership or certification in project management or planning (e.g., PMP, PSP, or equivalent). Primavera P6 training/certification is preferred, demonstrating advanced proficiency in schedule development and control. 12–15 years of total experience in construction project planning, with a strong focus on MEP works for rail, metro, or large?scale infrastructure projects. Proven experience in coordinating interfaces between civil/architectural finishing and MEP systems in multi?stakeholder, fast?track projects in the Middle East or similar international environments. Experience in preparing Baseline Program.
