The Role Plan and deliver engaging and age-appropriate Russian language lessons for nursery-aged children. Introduce children to basic Russian vocabulary, pronunciation, speaking, listening, and early literacy skills. Use play-based learning methods, including songs, storytelling, rhymes, games, arts and crafts, and interactive activities. Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages children to develop confidence in using the Russian language. Prepare weekly and daily lesson plans and teaching resources in line with the nursery curriculum and childrens developmental needs. Observe, assess, and record childrens language development and progress. Adapt activities to meet the individual learning needs and abilities of each child. Encourage childrens social, emotional, cognitive, and communication development through engaging learning experiences. Maintain effective classroom management and promote positive behaviour. Ensure the health, safety, wellbeing, and safeguarding of all children at all times. Communicate regularly with parents regarding childrens progress and participation. Work closely with the Nursery Manager, teachers, and teaching assistants to support a collaborative learning environment. Participate in nursery events, celebrations, parent meetings, staff meetings, and professional development activities. Maintain accurate records and ensure all nursery policies and procedures are followed.
Requirements Native or near-native proficiency in Russian. Good command of English, both written and spoken. Bachelors degree in Education, Early Childhood Education, Russian Language, Linguistics, or a related field. Relevant teaching qualification or certification is preferred. Previous experience teaching Russian, preferably to young children or in an early years/nursery setting. Knowledge of early childhood development and play-based teaching methodologies. Familiarity with the EYFS framework or other recognised early years curricula is an advantage. Creative, patient, energetic, and passionate about working with young children. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively within a multicultural team and environment. UAE experience is an advantage.
