The Role We are seeking an experienced Stakeholder Engineer to join our infrastructure project team in Abu Dhabi. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing stakeholder coordination, obtaining necessary approvals and NOCs, resolving interface issues, and ensuring effective communication between the project team, authorities, utility providers, and other stakeholders. The role requires strong knowledge of Abu Dhabi infrastructure projects, authority requirements, NOC processes, and stakeholder management. Key Responsibilities: Manage and coordinate with relevant government authorities, utility providers, and project stakeholders. Coordinate stakeholder requirements throughout the design and construction phases of infrastructure projects. Liaise with authorities such as Abu Dhabi Municipality, DMT, ITC, ADDC/AADC, EtihadWE, ADSSC, telecom operators, and other relevant entities as applicable. Review project drawings, technical submissions, and documents to identify stakeholder requirements and interface issues. Coordinate and follow up on NOCs, permits, approvals, clearances, and technical submissions. Monitor the status of stakeholder submissions and ensure approvals are obtained within project timelines. Identify potential stakeholder conflicts and coordinate with design and construction teams to develop appropriate solutions. Maintain stakeholder registers, approval trackers, NOC logs, correspondence records, and interface matrices. Attend coordination meetings with authorities, contractors, consultants, and other stakeholders. Provide regular updates to the Project Manager/Resident Engineer regarding stakeholder approvals, outstanding issues, and potential delays. Coordinate with utility agencies regarding existing and proposed services, diversions, protection, and connections. Ensure stakeholder requirements are incorporated into project design and construction activities. Support the project team in resolving site-related stakeholder and utility interface issues. Review contractor submissions related to authority requirements and stakeholder interfaces. Ensure all stakeholder-related activities comply with project specifications, authority requirements, and applicable Abu Dhabi regulations. Assist in identifying risks associated with stakeholder approvals and utility interfaces and develop mitigation measures.
Requirements Requirements: Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline. Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in infrastructure projects. Minimum 3 years of experience working on infrastructure projects in Abu Dhabi. Strong experience in stakeholder coordination, authority approvals, NOCs, permits, and utility interfaces. Good knowledge of Abu Dhabi authority procedures and infrastructure requirements. Experience coordinating with government authorities, utility providers, contractors, and consultants. Strong understanding of infrastructure works such as roads, utilities, drainage, water, sewerage, telecommunications, and associated infrastructure. Excellent communication, coordination, negotiation, and problem-solving skills. Experience working within a consultancy/project supervision environment is preferred.
