Through our work at predecessor companies Ionics, Inc. and Seven Seas Water/AquaVenture Holdings (both New York Stock Exchange listed companies valued above US$1 billion), we have substantial and relevant experience owning, developing and operating water and wastewater assets and businesses. Iv3 Aqua is a subsidiary of A.P. Moller Holding. A.P. Moller Holding had US$61 billion in consolidated revenue, EBITDA of US$10 billion and US$121 billion of total assets as of the end of 2025. A.P. Moller Holdings objective as the equity backer of Iv3 Aqua is to enable Iv3 Aqua to build a significant presence in the water and wastewater field worldwide, while adhering to its founders obligation to invest in areas that have a positive impact on society ("nyttig virksomhed" in Danish). Iv3 Aqua currently owns and operates water infrastructure assets in Oman, Bahrain and the Philippines. Job Summary The M&A Associate will be a key member of the Global Business Development team. The primary focus will be identification, evaluation and completion of acquisitions and other growth opportunities. Secondary priorities will include supporting the management of Iv3 Aqua Group companies and water/wastewater treatment facilities. Key Responsibilities Due diligence Analyses of financial models and financial statements, including single asset, multi asset and complete business organizations and entities. Incorporate operational and technical evaluations from other members of the Iv3 Aqua team. Participate in due diligence planning and execution, including data room management. Raise issues, including identification of areas of potential risks and enhancements discovered during due diligence. Participate in legal review processes, including documentation. Drive elements of transaction execution to closing. Support integration planning and execution, pre and post-acquisition. Acquisition and growth target identification and evaluation Identify growth opportunities to develop the companys pipeline of opportunities, specifically, proactively identify acquisition targets throughout the water and wastewater treatment industry globally. Conduct comprehensive review and analysis of potential acquisition targets to help guide decision-making, and prioritization of resources. Communication Maintain up-to-date documentation on business development activities, stakeholder interactions, proposals, and project development progression. Prepare and deliver regular progress reports to senior management on deal target pipeline activities, project status, and any notable challenges. Facilitate clear and open communication among team members and external stakeholders. Prepare internal documentation and contribute to investment memoranda and board materials. Stakeholder relations Build and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders by understanding their requirements and expectations. Stakeholders include senior management, our internal Engineering and Operations teams, other corporate functions, portfolio companies, clients, suppliers, contractors, consultants, and other advisors. Address stakeholders concerns promptly and professionally. Job location and travel requirements Iv3 Aqua is a virtual company, and has offices in Muscat, Oman. The M&A Associate will preferably be working from the Muscat office. (If so, employment will be governed by Oman Labour Law (Royal Decree 53/2023) so applicants must meet the legal requirements to work in Oman). This requires significant travel for periods of a week or more to destinations including major cities and less developed regions globally. It is essential that applicants can work in GMT, CET and GST time zones. Requirements Qualifications A minimum of two years of proven experience in M&A project management and execution from an investment bank, lending institution, consulting firm or private equity firm is desirable. Bachelors degree or equivalent in Business/Economics Chemical, Civil or Environmental Engineering or a related field preferred. Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and/or Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree a plus. The preferred candidate will be highly proficient in finance and accounting (preferably including IFRS) and Microsoft Office/365. Interest in business development and cross-border transactions, especially in the Middle East, North Africa, Central and South America, would be helpful. Exposure to and knowledge of water treatment processes and the water/wastewater industry a plus. Understanding of the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) business model is a plus. Evidence of being a self-starter, and ability to perform in a complex role unsupervised is required. The highest personal integrity is a requirement for all our team members. Exposure to cultural norms in the Middle East, North Africa, Central and South America and North America will be helpful. Strong fluency in written and spoken English is required; fluency in Arabic, French and/or Spanish or Portuguese is desirable.
