The Role
We are looking for a highly capable Senior Financial Modelling & Investment Analyst to join our team in Dubai. This is not a junior financial analyst position. We are looking for someone with substantial hands-on experience building sophisticated financial models, working with large datasets, researching commercial and financial assumptions, and translating complex business opportunities into clear investment and financial analysis. The successful candidate will work closely with senior management on investments, infrastructure projects, commercial transactions and strategic opportunities. Key Responsibilities Build detailed financial models from scratch, including integrated P&L, cash flow and balance sheet models. Develop project finance, investment return, valuation and scenario models. Perform sensitivity, downside, break-even and return analysis including IRR, NPV, ROIC and cash-on-cash returns. Analyse capital expenditure, operating expenditure, financing structures and long-term commercial contracts. Research market data, industry benchmarks, pricing, costs and other inputs required to support financial assumptions. Independently validate assumptions rather than simply relying on information provided by others. Analyse large datasets and identify inconsistencies, risks and key financial drivers. Build clear scenario and sensitivity analysis for management decision-making. Review and audit existing financial models and identify formula, logic or assumption errors. Prepare concise financial and investment analysis for senior management. Work directly with commercial, technical, legal and management teams to understand transactions and incorporate their assumptions into financial models. Be comfortable working on multiple transactions and projects simultaneously, often under tight deadlines.

Requirements
Required Experience: Minimum 5–7 years of relevant professional experience in financial modelling, investment analysis, project finance, corporate finance, private equity, investment banking, infrastructure or a comparable analytical role. Demonstrable experience building complex financial models from scratch, not simply updating existing templates. Strong understanding of accounting, corporate finance and financial statements. Ability to conduct independent commercial and financial research and convert research into defensible modelling assumptions. Strong attention to detail and ability to identify numerical or logical inconsistencies. Ability to explain complex financial analysis clearly to senior decision-makers. Excellent written and spoken English. Preferred Background Experience in one or more of the following would be particularly valuable: Investment banking Private equity or infrastructure investment Project finance Data centres or digital infrastructure Energy and power Technology infrastructure Large-scale capital projects M&A or corporate development Big Four transaction advisory / modelling Experience modelling projects involving large CAPEX requirements, long-term customer contracts, debt financing, power costs and infrastructure economics would be a significant advantage. Candidate Profile We are looking for someone who is intellectually curious and commercially minded, not simply an Excel operator. The right person should be able to receive a new opportunity, understand the business and commercial structure, research the necessary information, determine the correct assumptions, construct the financial model and explain what the numbers actually mean. They should be comfortable challenging assumptions and identifying when something in a model does not make financial or mathematical sense. This position is based in our Dubai office and requires regular in-person collaboration with the management team. It is not a remote position.
