The Role Guildhall is recruiting for a General Foreman to join a leading international engineering and construction contractor in the UAE. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising site crews, coordinating daily construction activities, and ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project specifications, quality standards, and approved schedules. The role requires strong leadership skills and extensive experience managing high-rise building construction activities. Job Responsibilities: - Coordinate with the Site Manager and Site Engineers to execute construction activities in line with approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, and project deadlines. - Plan, allocate, and supervise daily and weekly work programmes for multiple crews, ensuring foremen and workforce teams understand project requirements, drawings, and construction methods. - Manage manpower, materials, tools, and equipment requirements while monitoring productivity, work progress, overtime costs, and resource efficiency. - Ensure compliance with site safety procedures, quality requirements, and company standards while promoting a strong safety culture across all work crews. - Provide regular progress updates, manpower forecasts, timesheet verification, and coordination support to the Site Manager to ensure timely project delivery.
Requirements - Secondary School Certificate supplemented by a recognised trade certificate or relevant technical training. - Minimum of 7–10 years’ experience as a General Foreman or similar supervisory role on high-rise tower construction projects within the UAE or GCC. - Strong ability to read and interpret construction drawings, apply technical specifications, manage site materials, and coordinate manpower requirements effectively. - Demonstrated technical experience in one or more construction trades, including carpentry, masonry, painting, plumbing, welding, HVAC, or electrical works, with strong leadership and problem-solving capabilities. - Fluency in Arabic and English is required, with excellent communication skills and the ability to coordinate effectively with site teams, subcontractors, engineers, and management.
