The Role
Our Tier 1 Main Contracting Client has a new requirement for a well experienced Senior Civil Engineer to join their team in Dubai to work on high profile large scale new build projects. Successful candidates will have a proven background as a Senior Civil Engineer with good knowledge in large scale civil construction projects in the UAE and working for recognised Main Contracting Companies previously. This role is available for immediate joining and is an initial 6 month contract position as an outsource employed by J10 Consulting. There is an option to transfer to staff after 6 months should it suit all parties. Key Responsibilities: Develop and oversee the projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other professionals to determine project requirements and specifications. Review and approve sub-contractor and supplier submittals, including shop drawings and material samples. Provide technical support and guidance to project teams during construction. Plan, coordinate and supervise on site activities Perform site visits and inspections to assess construction progress and quality in accordance with project schedules Manage materials, manpower and resources to ensure optimal project performance Identify and resolve design issues and conflicts in a timely manner. Report on progress, issues and recommendations to project stakeholders Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements Mentor and train junior engineers to develop their technical skills and knowledge

Requirements
Senior Engineer (Civil) Experience: Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering or related Experience: 6-8+ years in large scale civil construction projects, at least 2-3 years in UAE main contracting companies Knowledge: Strong grasp of installation sequencing, QA/QC standards, and health & safety protocols. Expertise: Skilled in technical documentation, project coordination, and site leadership. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Excellent written and verbal communication. Strong leadership, teamwork, and analytical problem-solving skills. Ability to work under pressure and deliver to tight deadlines.
