The Role Al-Kuthban Engineering Consulting & Project Management is seeking QA/QC Inspectors for a water and wastewater network repair and maintenance supervision project in Jeddah. The role will primarily involve reviewing completed work orders through the National Water Company’s WFM system and verifying that all works meet the required quality standards before approval and final closure. Key responsibilities include: Review completed water and wastewater network work orders through the NWC WFM system. Verify work-order information, site photographs, inspection records, test results, and supporting documents. Ensure compliance with NWC requirements, approved technical specifications, procedures, and quality standards. Verify the quality of excavation, pipeline repairs, backfilling, site reinstatement, and asphalt works. Approve compliant work orders or return incomplete and noncompliant work orders for correction. Follow up with site inspectors and contractors until all observations are properly resolved. Identify recurring quality issues and prepare nonconformance and corrective-action reports. Monitor work-order closure quality and relevant project performance indicators. Maintain accurate QA/QC records and prepare periodic quality reports. Conduct field-verification visits when required. Coordinate with the Project Manager, Site Engineers, Site Inspectors, contractors, and relevant NWC representatives.
Requirements Technical diploma or bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction, Water Networks, or a related discipline. Minimum 3 years of experience in QA/QC inspection, utility works, or water and wastewater network projects. Good understanding of water and wastewater network repair and maintenance activities. Knowledge of excavation, pipeline repair, backfilling, testing, asphalt reinstatement, and site-restoration requirements. Ability to review technical documents, site photographs, test results, and work-order records. Good computer, reporting, documentation, and data-review skills. Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify incomplete or noncompliant work. Previous hands-on experience using the National Water Company’s WFM system is a strong advantage, and candidates with such experience will be given priority. Previous experience on NWC projects or municipal infrastructure projects is preferred. Ability to work onsite and on shifts.
