The Role Guildhall is currently looking for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team and support the successful delivery of a large-scale airport development project. This position is ideal for a commercially driven professional with strong quantity surveying expertise, infrastructure project experience, and the ability to support and mentor junior team members while ensuring effective cost management throughout the project lifecycle. Key Responsibilities: - Manage all quantity surveying and commercial activities related to the assigned project. - Prepare and review cost estimates, budgets, valuations, and financial reports. - Conduct quantity take-offs and measurement of works using industry-standard software. - Monitor project costs, variations, claims, and change orders. - Assist in contract administration and ensure compliance with contractual obligations. - Evaluate subcontractor quotations, payments, and final accounts. - Prepare and negotiate variations, claims, and commercial submissions. - Support procurement activities and tender evaluations. - Monitor project cash flow and cost forecasts. - Liaise with project management, engineering, planning, procurement, and site teams to ensure commercial objectives are achieved. - Identify commercial risks and provide mitigation strategies. - Mentor and support junior Quantity Surveyors and commercial staff where required. - Contribute to the successful commercial delivery of large-scale infrastructure and airport projects.
Requirements - Bachelors Degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, Construction Management, or a related discipline. - Minimum 8–15 years of Quantity Surveying experience within construction and infrastructure projects. - Previous experience working on airport projects is highly preferred. - Strong experience in large-scale infrastructure, civil engineering, transportation, or aviation projects. - Experience managing, mentoring, or supervising junior QS team members. - Proficiency in at least one quantity take-off software package such as: (1) CostX, (2) PlanSwift, (3) Cubit, Or similar platforms - Strong understanding of cost control, contract administration, variations, claims, and final accounts. - Experience working with main contractors, EPC contractors, or infrastructure developers. - Excellent commercial awareness and negotiation skills. - Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities. - Professional certifications such as MRICS, AIQS, CIQS, or equivalent are advantageous.
